Dvd is not working, probably its power cable is not connected

Dear sir,

i have purchased a hcl desktop code no. ac1v005 on the 14 of november this year means last saturday, and when i came with the machine i saw that the power of the dvd is not on. i have checked the setup there it shows that no optical drive is present... so do i request you i cant use this system with linux so, pls send the eng. as early as possible... to make it fine..
