Unprofessional After Sales Service

I had purchased a HCL Leaptop from a reputed Electronics Shop at Behala, Kolkata in Nov and have paid for AMC also. At the time of purchasing, it was not mentioned that we need Windows XP CD for formatting the machine, if the machine becomes slow. We were given 5 ystem CDs along with the Leaptop. At the time of doing AMC also, we were not aware that HCL will not format our leaptop in case it becomes slow without the XP CD. The AMC paperworks were also not completed by HCL.

On 13th Jan we enquired at their service center in Kolkata that our Leaptop has become slow, so can we come to the service center to fix the problem. The reply we got was "yes". On taking the leaptop to their Shakespeare Sarani Service Center, we faced the following problems -

1. We were made to wait for about half an hour without any reason. Their service center people "forgot" to attend to us.

2. They said that the AMC paperwoks is not complete, so we should go to the Gariahat center and get it completed.

3. They will not be able to attend to our leaptop without the XP CD and they cannot provide any XP CD. We have to get it for ourselves. This issue was not cleared on 13th Jan when we enquired on phone before going to their service center.

I do not know if it will be of any use to post my complain in this website or any action will be taken by the HCL people or not but still I felt that people need to be made aware about the unprofessionalism of HCL Service Center.
