IRCTC/e-ticket
Non-Refund of double debit of ticket amount

I booked a e-ticket through my SBI debit card on 13.3.2008 for me and my family comprising of 2 adults and 2 minors for a journey between Guwahati and LT Terminus-Mumbai bearing PNR no. 6410961303 by 2A class with transaction ID 0042155748. I successfully took the print of the ticket, but later on was astonished to find that the booking amount of Rs.6589/- was debited twice from my bank SB account. I immediately informed the case to IRCTC by e-mail at [email protected] and my bank and requested for the reversal of the excess debited amount. Subsequently, on 17-3-08 I lodged a complaint in writing to the respective branch of SBI with a copy by FAX to GM (Operation), IRCTC along with prints of the e-ticket, my reply and my booked ticket history. Since then, I have been regularly sending reminders to IRCTC on this issue. However, it appears that IRCTC officials are apathetic enough to ensure that not even a reply to my e-mails and letter is sent, leave alone refunding the said amount. In such situation, I request you to kindly guide me so that I get the amount reversed to my account.
