I was traveling with my family from Kolkata to Bhubaneswar on 5th June’2009 (PNR no. DKLDBQ, flight no. S2-6367), after a pleasant trip of Gangtok and also an excellent boarding from Bagdogra to Kolkata by Jet Airways. When I received baggages from the belt at Bhubaneswar airport I found one of my baggages was missing and I did not find any Jetlite official on the spot to convey my problem. I had to toil a lot to find the authority to covey my grievance. I got really an indifferent approach towards my case from the madam on duty. But after showing my restlessness after 15 minutes, she started expediting my matter and started paging to the ground staff for probable loss of my belonging. Meanwhile another lady named Vinita reached the spot and started asking me what was the tag no. of the baggage I am not getting. I conveyed her with sheer impatience that, that was not my duty as baggages were in cargo and which no. is missing was her duty to find out. Going one step ahead she just threw the boarding pass pasted with luggage sheet on the table saying she should not go. It was her vehement reaction towards my impatience. Finally the 1st lady named Meenakshi tallied all the tags and found the luggage (umbrella) missing and after a long 35 minutes I got the umbrella in totally ruined condition.
Highlight:
1. The umbrella I purchased from Nepal and a brand new one was lost for ever due to negligence of the airlines.
2. The attitude and nonchalance shown by the staffs were really painful and horrible.
3. No attendants were found at the conveyor belt for immediate resolution.
Request/Demand:
1. I must be compensated heavily for the umbrella, otherwise I will definitely go to consumer court.
2. The behavior of the staffs should be customer friendly.
The complain no. was 9749 on 05/06, acknowledged by Meenakshi at Bhubaneswar Airport
