Poor Service

Hi,

I was really happy & excited about getting a IFB conventional microwave oven about 3 months back, but its not the same now, I m dissatisfied & upset about the customer service that the company provides in a metro like Delhi, I earlier had a Chinese make microwave & used it for about 4 yrs without much hassle, & now with a brand like IFB my troubles have started even before it is 6 months old, I did a caramel custard preparation as per the IFB cook book even before it was halfway thru the rotating glass plate in the micro broke to three piece inside the oven when it was running. Be a working women I m quite helpless without a micro, all the shops that I approached told me that I have to contact the service center / customer care, I did so the very next day, they gave me a complaint number: 3194892 (first week of july, it was on a Monday), and they told me if it’s under warranty it can be replaced for “free” and it would be taken care by 24 hrs time. I did not got a call till Thursday, so I called the Cust Service again for an update thy apologized and told service center wld call me on the same day, a guy called and told that he can come only after Friday & I was going for my vacation after Friday & he told that it’s “chargeable”. I left it there last week of July I came back from my vacation I called the customer care again and got a new complaint no: 3305259, and they repeated the same that it wld be attended within 24 hrs, after 3 days a guy came to my place spent 5 mins and said that its “chargeable”(Rs.850/-) & he will come back the next day with the new glass top, it’s been a week since that happened, there has been no communication what so ever neither from the customer care or the service center, when I checked with the cust service the reply I got is that that particular part is not available with the company rite now….??? I would like to know what is the fun of having a brand name like IFB when it is not all making my life easier? Addition I should be ready to buy a glass top again if have to bake something because as per the service guy the glass top has no guarantee even if breaks while working….so I cant grill or bake stuff even if I have a so called conventional oven. Even after being ready to pay and will try to use that stupid product as a microwave the company don’t have the part, I have tried all means I could & don’t know which channel to approach thru to get a service done.

I am just hoping against the odds that this mail would reach someone sensible and I would get a proper reply / service other than the automated mailer.

I would also taking this complaint further to next level.
