PAN card status
Issuance of duplicate PAN card

Respected Sir,

I am the holder of PAN card bearing no. AIKPA 2803 R issued by the income tax department. In the month of March i had lost my PAN card. As such I have applied for the issuance of a duplicate PAN card in April. In the month of May i received a communication from the Income Tax department seeking details on a discrepancy with regard to my father's name. I have clarified the same vide letters dated 30.05. 04.07.2008 and 27.08.2008. Till date the duplicate PAN card has also not been issued to me.

I would also like to mention that alongwith my application I had submitted a copy of letter from the Income Tax department issuing the PAN card, a copy of the PAN card, original missing certificate issued by the police and also copies of documents as proof of my identity.

I request you to kindly intimate to me the status of my application and if any further documents are required to prove the details of my father, i would most willingly provide the same.

I am a conscious citizen of this country and have been diligently submitting my annual returns to the department.

Hence I request you to process my application at the earliest and issue me a duplicate PAN card at the earliest.
