Due to some urgent work at Mumbai I had to Go To Howrah (Kolkatta Via Train to catch flight for Mumbai on 24/04. Upon reaching Kolkatta airport i realized that my airtel number is not working thus i made call to airtel call centre (From kolkata airport at around 8.45 AM) mentioning my problem and making them clear that hopefully my roaming has not been activated. Call centre guy told that they can not resolve my problem since it pertains to Jharkhand so soon some one from Jharkhand call centre will call me. For urgent resolution I provided them with my alternate Reliance India Mobile number 9334762824.
No one cared to call me or resolve my problem.
On 27th April'09 the moment I returned back to Jharkhand after my trip to Mumbai and Kolkata my phone started working fine.
I want Airtel To compensate for the follwing;
1) During filling up the form I ticked activation of roaming so why this was not done.
2) If by mistake not done then even after call to Call centre from kolkata why my problem was not resolved and more over call centre guy telling that he is unable to resolve the problem since the case pertains to Jharkhand (Although Airtel claims being same thorughout india)
3) If problem/phone not working was not due to rpoblem of roaming activation then why did my phone start working fine moment i entered Jharkhand.
4) why did no one cared to call me on my alternate number to try and resolve the issue.
5) If atall there were no such problem then how come i received 2 messages on my mobile telling a) roaming deactivated, b) Roaming activated w.e.f. 27/04
