Disconnection of lifetime simcard

I had taken in my wife's name lifetime prepaid sim card with no.9867825115.It was found that the phone no. was being continually debited Rs3/- for some value added service which was not asked.hence the phone was switched off and not being used thinking that when time permits it can be solved by going to companies gallery. However it is now noticed that simcard has been disconnected. Since it is lifetime simcard how can it be disconnected? I request the company to look into the matter. Incidentally when I had gone to U.S. about 5 years back I had kept my phone switched off for about 4 months but that time after coming back when I switched on I got immediate connection. Therefore it is surprising that it should happen now. Will the company clarify and give connection again? I may state that I had paid Rs999/- for lifetime prepaid, therefore it is all the more surprising.
