1. i was updating the software on the phone as per the directive from the official nokia site.

2. when the download finished, (they have it on record), the phone had switched off.. as per instructions i unpluged it and tried to switch it on. that did not happen. in fact it never switched on.

3. i attended to it in goa where it was insinuated that there might be water damage.they then said it could not be repaired! i was called due to my dissatisfaction with their service and there was no follow up. I have the details n it is on their record.

4. after an email to their care centre i then went to their centre in chembur and was told that this had to go to ur main service centre in Gurgaon as the software was crashing after loading for only 30%. i was told that the cost would be in the region of 4 to 5 000/-. when i enquired why i had to pay this huge amount it was pointed out that the phone was out of warranty. when i enquired whether thre was n e guarantee that the same would not occur again, i was told that this was not possible to predict and it could occur.in conclusion i had to bear unnecessary expense for no fault of mine.

5. i am now told that it is too expensive to repair. i have asked for a quote on the repair as i have the final say, not your service provider HCL tech.

Point to note that the entire problem is due to a software glitch and occured after following all the official recomendations.

i have visited your official service centres and the phone has never been attended otherwise.

there is no guarantee that it will not happen again.

this has happened after less that 2 years of purchase.

i was never informed that nokia has something called an extended warranty whereby i could have avoided all this hassel.

considering the problem and the issues i still maintain that they either replace the piece or compensate me for the same as the above clearly shows a lack of quality with the merchandise sold.not to mention the process of keeping software updated.

i expect to hear from their office (pending october) with a solution at the earliest and not some standard company released letter that is probably sent to every dissatisified customer. and i am not satisfied with your product service.
