Airtel Postpaid
Billing

Dear All,

I am really disappointed with the service I have experienced at the hand of Airtel Customer Care Dept and what makes me more irate is that you deactivated by outgoing calls when it was your fault.

On August 15 around 12:00 AM, I had called and SMS the CC dept for activating the Rs.98 Airtel Internet plan. Since, it was Andriod Tab phone, I was transferred to a tech representative for manual internet settings on the phone. I spoke to several representatives, and finally got the setting done. This representative informed me that he was unable to activate the Rs.98 internet plan on call, as their systems were getting upgraded. However, he assured that he will activate my plan in few hrs and I would receive a confirmation SMS. After 1-2 hrs, I received a SMS stating that internet was activated on my phone. So, I started using the internet.

After 2-3 days, I saw that my unbilled amount was more that Rs. 2000. I called the customer care dept and verified my billed. He informed me that it was unbilled amount and it would come down after applying Airtel CUG Plan. Then, I enquired about applying Rs. 98 Internet Plan, and to my surprise he informed that the plan was not activated. Finally, the plan was activated on Aug 18.

After receiving my monthly bill in Sept, which was more than Rs. 2500, I called the customer care dept and registered a complaint (Ticket # 45999099). Nobody from Airtel called me to discuss about my billing concern and to harass me further, I kept receiving calls from the collection dept for making the bill payment.

Then, in Oct, after long struggle with your representative on call, I spoke to Komal from the escalation dept. She checked complete call logs and SMS request sent from my side and acknowledged that they were unable to activate the plan due to system problem. She forwarded my case to billing dept for review. However, I have not received any update from that dept.

Now, you have deactivated my outgoing and forcing me to pay for internet used during initial 4 days. Why should I pay when you failed to activate the plan??? And why did you deactivate my out going when you have not discussed my concern???
