Regarding Documents submissiion

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am using Airtel Prepaid connection for my cell phone from the past 5-6 years. At the time of taking he connection i had submitted all the documents. Yesturday i had got a message asking me to submit the documents ID Proof and Address Proof with a passport size photocopy and fill a new prepaid application. I called the customer care and the executive informed me to submit the documents to the nearest Airtel office. And later in the evening my outgoing calls were disconnected without any intimation. When I tried to call, it directly went to the recorded voice with brefing to submit the documents and asked me to press 1 to confirm that I submit the documents within 3 days. After pressing 1 the voice told that the outgoing calls will be resumed within one and half hour. But it was resumed sometime in the early hours.

As per his instructions I had gone to the 3rd Block Airtel office to submit the documents today, 7th October. After standing in a queue for nearly 20 minutes, the lady addressed herself has Sowmya took the application with the attached documents. I had give my PAN Card as my Identity Proof and Electricity Bill for Address Proof. She refused to take the Electricity bill as Address Proof as the Bill was in my Father’s name. I told that I don’t have any address proof in my name, but in my PAN Card My father’s name is also indicated. She refused to take the form.

I told her that I should speak to the Manager or any one Incharg, she showed finger to the lady sitting next to her who was handling the postpaid customers. She also told the same thing as she was sitting next to her.

Later I called the customer care No.9845098450 and spoke to one Mr. Sheriff and told that I need to load a complaint and what is the procedure. He asked me what was the problem and I briefed him the above. He told he will connect to the supervisor, I asked the name of the supervisor, but he told that he will speak to me. After waiting for 12 minutes the line got disconnected.

They are intimating that the Karnataka Government has made a rule to collect the documents once again, when asked for the notification, they didn’t had answer for it.

I am using this cell No. for the past 5-6 year and now I cannot change it as my No. are circulated to my Friends and our Company’s customer.

Please let me know how to proceed further.
