EVEN ESCALATING COMPLAINT TO APELLATE AUTHORITY DOES NOT HELP. ONLY REPLY REPEATEDLY RECEIVED IS THAT THEY WILL COMEBACK WITHIN 72 HOURS BUT THEIR CLOCK PROBABLY DOES NOT MOVE.
I had requested for shifting of my phone no. 01244288746 on change of my residence in the month of October. Despite making dozens of calls, the phone was not shifting by your people for next more than one month. Therefore, on 23rd November I asked for cancellation of the phone no. 01244288746 and applied for fresh connection from your organisation. On 27th November new connection was installed and during the Post Installation Call received from your customer service department, I specifically enquired as to the status of my old phone number and got a specific confirmation that the old number as that lady could check from her system, was disconnected. I made payment of the bill raised after that and thought the matter was over.
Unfortunately, I received another Telephone bill for the period beyond 23rd November, so again made a call to your Customer Service department and was surprised to know that the phone was not disconnected and they noted cancellation request afresh. Aggrieved on this account I lodged a complaint and after a few follow-up mails, received a call from your staffer who confirmed that firstly my phone was disconnected and second the bill raised was cancelled as the phone was never used while acknowledging that this all happened due to deficiency in service on Airtel’s part. Once more I thought matter was over, but how wrong I was, I forgot that I was dealing with AIRTEL for which customers are the least priority.
Again a telephone bill was raised for the next period including demand for the previous bill which was stated to be cancelled. So, I again lodged a complaint with Nodal Officer this time but as usual the excuses are there but nobody tries to address the issue. On getting no response I raised the issue with Apellate Authority but every time the response I get is a system generated mail that Apellate Authority will respond in 72 hours, the 72 hours which never are over.
I doubt whether there is some accountability concept exists in your organisatiion.
