Refund delay

Hi,

Its one month now since I am trying to get reund of Rs 106439.00 from MakeMytrip which I had transferred to MakeMyTrip ICICI account on 12/9 to book international flight ticket from Delhi to NewYork for my parents. They couldn't book the ticket My ticket never booked, I am still waiting for the refund. Sometimes I am getting reply that Refund is processed sometimes they are saying its under process, but its not going anywhere. Please help me in getting the refund.

Here is the story:

I was trying to book the ticket from makemytrip.com website. I tried twice but I got some error message and couldn't book the ticket. After 5-10 mins I got an email from Vaneet. [email protected] that there is some technical issue with the website that's why my ticket is not getting booked. I gave him my number, he called me and suggested to transferred amount to MakeMyTrip ICICI account. He sent me details for wire transfer. I transferred the amount to MakeMyTrip ICICI bank account no. xxxxxxxx0362.Vaneet gave me the amedeus number as 44AR9Y, I verified the information on ticket and he told me that he has hold the tickets once amount will be credited he will confirm it.

Next day I got reply from him that he couldn't book the ticket as amount was not yet credited to MakeMyTrip account and booking has expired. If they will receive the amount then that will be refunded within 7 days.

I checked my account it was debited. I confirmed with my bank (Citibank), they confirmed that amount is credited to MakeMyTrip ICICI account xxxxxxxx0362, they gave me UTR number (unique Transaction reference number) for this transaction as: CITIN10028660714

I gave all the details to Vaneet Sethi but he stopped replying to my email. I tried calling his extension many times but got reply from reception is noone is picking. Then I wrote to feedback section of the website on 16/9 and got case id as: 100916-008618. Since then I called around 7-8 times to customer care and wrote many emails, but couldn't get satisfactory reply. See below the series of emails, not able to conclude if they are really looking into this or just sending reply from a set of email templates.

Hi,

I had requested for booking of return ticket from Delhi to New York and for that I had trasferred amount of Rs 106439.00 on 13/9 to MakeMyTrip ICICI bank account number xxxxxxxx0362 from my Citibank account no xxxxxxx284.

The person Vineet Sethi of your company was dealing with me. He responded next day that booking is expired so ticket can't be booked and amount trasferred will be refunded to me.

After that I have written couple of emails to him to know the status of refund but didn't get any reply. I tried his extn 3041 which he gave me but no one is picking that. I called customer care, requested information on online chat also but no one could give update me the status of Refund.

Please update me on the status of Refund, how long does it takes? I need refund as soon as possible.

Who is the seller? My ticket never booked, amount was just transferred to the MakeMyTrip ICICI account.

I won't be able to send PDF since pdf bank statement for the month has not been generated, that's why I sent the snapshot and excel downloaded statement.

I believe that with you need it for tracking the transaction and UTR nbr and transaction snapshot should be sufficient to track it.

This is what I was afraid of that every time instead of good answer I would get reply that more hours needed. Please expedite.

Its more than 2 weeks now and still on each reply I just get the hours you need and I am sure this time also you will cut paste the same reply with number of hours required to look into this.

I have not yet received this refund. I checked through netbanking and found that my account has not been credited then I called my bank to get the information but they also don't see any such credit in process.

Can you give me any reference number or confirmation number through which my bank can track it.

It is quite frustrating for me to see such reply. On 30/9 you replied that refund is done on 24/9. When I asked for confirmation/reference number then instead of giving me the confirmation number you replied to wait for another 48 hours. And today you are replying that Refund is under process. What should I understand with this. Does this mean Refund was not done/processed on 24/9? How long do I need to wait? Its 3 weeks now since I transferred the amount.

Earlier on 28/9 you had given similar reply that refund is done on 24/9 and asked me to confirm with my bank. I confirmed with my bank and they didn't find any such transaction, they asked for some reference number of the transaction. When I asked you for reference/confirmation number then you replied that refund is under process.

This time also you are writing the same but not giving any reference/confirmation number. Kindly give me the reference number so that I can ask my bank to track this transaction.

My account has not been credited yet and my bank also don't see any such credit. They are asking for reference number so that it can be tracked.

I don't know how without having any confirmation number you get the information that its processed.

Please send me the reference number and the date when it was processed so that I can get it tracked.
