On 6th December around half-past ten, I booked a return ticket to Colombo on 15th Dec and 13th Jan. At first the booking was rejected, but I was charged. Fortunately they confirmed my ticket the next day.
Unfortunately I had to shelve my plans for a trip to Colombo. So I made the first call on Friday 11th Dec to Make My Trip Customer Support to cancel the booking and secure a refund. I tried a couple of times but nobody replied.
On Saturday between 7am-8am I was finally able to connect to a CC-exec who told me that the Airlines Office, Air India Express in this case, would be closed and that she would call me later in the day and cancel my ticket as well as give me the refund calculation.
And that was the last I heard that day. Next day, I called them up again in the evening. The 2 - 3 calls being blatantly rejected (Yeah, they attend it, put you on hold, the music is the last you hear. Nothing else), I was able to speak to one Shruti at around 8:30pm. She told me she can cancel my ticket at that moment, but would be able to give a refund calculation. I gave her the nod for cancellation. She then informed me that I will receive an e-mail from Make My Trip regarding refund calculation amount and a confirmation too.
And again that was the last we heard about that.
On Monday 14th Dec between 2-3pm I gave a call, again, and was answered by one Poornima. She put me on hold and in a few moments they disconnected the call. Now that is when I got curious. So I logged on this site and which I am writing this there are already 57 complaints registered against them.
