Rechargeable batteries do not work

I purchased 6 AA Eveready rechargeable batteries last month. Found that none of them were functional. They could not even hold a full charge for a minute. The company definitely is manufacturing faulty batteries and cheating innocent consumers. Repeated complaints on the companys helpline provided no help. Zero customer satisfaction and zero customer service.
