Hi,
The details of the Ordeal have been mentioned as below:
To give you a case history of the events:
7th Mar: Received a call for a Samsung Omnia Pro by some caller named Amit (not sure about the names since they may be framed). He insisted with the deal which included a Reebok Watch, Reebok Tracksuit in addition to the phone. He also did inform me about me winning a promo which entitled me to 5 cheques worth Rs. 50000. I gave in for this deal and thus committed the blunder. I was given the Booking ID: 880085621.
10th Mar: Received a mail citing the order details (TELESALES/0GA100007298) from the id [email protected].
23rd Mar: Replied back to the mail asking for any further details of the Order.
Received a reply from Prachi citing that the Order contents have been running Out of Stock.
Replied back asking for a tentative time-line for receiving the Order, communication at the time of booking about unavailability of the contents.
25th Mar: Received a very sloppy answer from Sukant reading that Order contents were available at the time of booking but not after the Order was taken.
Replied back asking the tentative Despatch Date.
26th Mar: Received a reply from Sukant asking for further 10- 15 days of time to deliver the Order.
After the chain of mails getting such a futile reply I turned to the number cited above to speak in person and learn the details:
Lastly on 7th Apr: Cancelled the Request and received a request number: 441564
Rang up on 19th Apr: To understand if the request has actually been forward for remittance of funds to my account.
Learnt at this point that I was also suppose to send a mail to this id Iam currently writing to confirm the thing.
Rang back on 22nd Apr: To understand if there has been a change to the status.
Here I learnt different things from different callers. The first one Mr. Neeraj Kashyap informed me the status was the same and on asking him a relevant person's info whom I could escalate the thing could receive the name of someone called Mr. Sumit. However I was told to call after an hour by noon to learn further (i.e. speak with Mr. Sumit). Thereafter started a tourney of calls with different callers who would hold my lines for close to 15-20 minutes and on the contrary inform me that I hung up the phone. Each one also said that my Order had been invoiced since my earlier mail sent on 19th April didn't reach the intended recepient (I hope you are learned enough to understand that any mail which bounces after hitting a mail server failing to obtain the intended mail id sends a mailer-daemon notification citing the failure, I received no such msgs. which amply state that the mail was received by the intended id). Whenever I requested to speak with a senior did they place the phone on a hold for long durations with a futile reply citing unavailability of any of their seniors. The best of them all the last person cited that there system wasn't working and therefore would not be in a position to help me converse with his seniors.
23rd July: Telecaller informed the order had been despatched and they could make no changes to the thing now. They would only be in a position to remit the amount on my rejection.
In the whole game of hassle/faithlessness did I learn that placing an order and then cancelling an order is a Journey to Hell for a customer.
I'll have to bare the brunt for you not co-ordinating with the mailing teams and the calling teams.
I have been kept ignorant for long and promise you to repay this sweet ordeal ifn't this Order goes cancelled by the shortest possible time.
If it is your organisation who preach such ethics/morales to you as an employees do let me know so that I convey the same to your big guns and if it is the other way round i.e. some algae destroying the entire lake then you as a professional should be good enough to wipe them clean.
I sincerely expect that an organistion which has a backing from the India Today Group not to harass customers and create a bad repo.
I guess Iam quite an optimist who still expects a reply from you!
