This is with regard to a refrigerator - LG REF: GL-478YLQ4 brought by me from an authorised LG dealer, i.e. Arvee Enterprises, K-46, Lajpat Nagar-II 110024; on 30th September.
Upon immediate use it was evident that the Refrigeration was weak in the fridge section only. Several complaints have been made, followed by visits from the company’s engineers, but the problems remains as is.
I have also registered the complaint with the National Consumer Helpline on 2-5, and received the following reference no: 180426.
As, suggested by them, a registered letter has also been sent to the Company. Once again, they responded with a call asking what the problem was, and then nothing more was done.
I have now been advised to file a formal complaint at the Consumer Court. Due to ill health, this process has been delayed till now. But now I want to file the formal complaint and need help with preparing the submission file.
I also want to sue the Company for damages and the continued inconvenience that my family has had to endure for the past year and a half, while their service personnel payed several visits and gave the most illogical excuses. It is very disappointing that Company like LG did not act with any sincerity at all, towards their customer, even after continued requests for changing the damaged piece; since they were unable to repair the defect.
Please advise me, on how to go about filing the complaint in the Consumer Court and suing LG for damages incurred.
