I have purchased an LG gl 478 YSX4 Refrigerator from Croma in Mumbai in November. The first unit that was sent to me was dented and I refused to accept it. In the second unit there was a constant formation of ice in the freezer and lower shelves. After several complaints we were informed that the particular model was being recalled as it was defective. So a third unit was sent to us within a span of 6 months. In this unit also there is formation of ice in the freezer and vegetable tray. The food gets fungus and if the temperature is lowered, the food in the freezer thaws and decomposes. The LG techinician does not come until at least 10 calls are made. Then after a fortnight he comes, looks at the fridge, fiddles around and leaves. The problem persists.
This particular model is obviously defective and needs to be recalled. I have spent 38000/- for a TIN CAN.
If the fridge is not replaced with an effective model, I will be forced to approach the appropriate Authorities.
Apparently LG is no longer the Company it once was. Will someone take action?
