Dear Sir,
I am one of the online shopping enthusiasts and recently I got an email from Bagittoday.com asking me to become one of their members. As an incentive, they will give a free gift (which in my case was MTV Sunglasses). They call this a free gift however, charge Rs.499 for delivery and handling (I should have known then that this is just a scam). I paid for the sunglasses through my credit card and was charged Rs.499 straight away - this was on the 22nd of November. Post I places my order, I recieved a confirmation email from them which is pasted below:

Almost a month has passed by and I decided to call their call center (the number listed in their email above). After about 5-6 attempts, I got through one of their call center executive named 'Lalit'. When I asked his last name, he said he does not have a last name (very wierd). Although overall, this person treated me well (I do not have any complaint against Lalit). I am providing the excerpt from my conversation with Lalit below:

I told Lalit that I have not yet recieved my order - he asked me the order number (which I provided to him from the email pasted above). He told me that the order is not 'punched' and as a customer I had no clue what he means. I told him that my credit card has already been charged. He put me on hold for 2 mins and came back asking for my alternate contact number and landmark - which I provided to him. He said that he has now punched the order and it will take another 21 working days to recieve the product. At this point, I got frustrated and did not want the product any longer. I asked him to process a refund for me. He put me on hold to launch a complaint. Post he came back, he gave me a complaint number - 709538 and told me that it will take 21 working days to process the refund (I felt chated here; these guys take less than 1 hour to charge the card and 21 working days to process a refund?). I asked him why the order has not been delivered yet to which he replied - there is an audit that happend in every company, everybody knows it (please, I am a Manager in an MNC - I know when the audits happen). I asked him to provide me a number of complaints department (or someone senior) to which he replied that as per company policy he can not give me a number but can give me a complaints email ID - [email protected]. After that I hung up the phone requesting him to process my refund fast.

Please take a look at this complaint - it is a humble request from my side to take strict action against Bagittoday as they are just fooling their customers.
