Received an invitation from India Today Book Club to Participate in the Sweepstakes worth Rs60, 00, 000/- and offered Ragas, a 16 - CD pack worth Rs3, 999/- at a Rs1, 999/- along with assured free gift of Reebok Sunglasses worth Rs3, 999/- a 2-night holiday stay worth Rs5, 000/- for a couple and a pack of 8 best sellers worth Rs2, 000/- or more.
I have accepted the invitation by sending the cheque for Rs2, 498/- (Cheque No: 341106 Dt-23-05 drawn on State Bank of India, Commercial Branch, Kannur) being the cost of Ragas CD pack Rs1, 999/- and handling and delivery charges of Rs499/-.
The above cheque was cleared from my account as on 02-07.
But still neither Ragas CD pack nor assured free gifts were received.
Reminder letters and e-mail messeges were send, no response from the company.
Now the email id on the invitation were not active.
