The greatest mistake I have made by purchasing a product of internationally acclaimed DEAF company called IFB.
The microwave oven Model No. 30 SC2 (Sl. No. 2508049076) was purchased on 19th July. In a weeks time it was observed that the top cover is rusted at the corner. Subsequently, the 1st complaint (Sl. No. 2029959) was lodged on 01 August for the same defect. The service engineer has checked the machine. Later after a week I was been told by Mr. Jain that the cover will be replaced after receipt of the same from company.
Within next 15 days, it was observed that the rotation of the spin table was uneven. I then contacted the service center (Lucky Services) and I was been told that the 2nd complaint has been added in the existing complaint. Since then the machine became the art piece kept in the show case. Again the engineer had visited and inspected the machine. Upon inquiring the status of the complaint I was told by Mr. Jain that the machine will be replaced.
Since I have made frequent calls and every time heard the same story of Machine has not received yet. In the month of March 09 the engineer had visited after a routine call by me to replace the motor. The motor he brought was not sealed. The embossed year of manufacture of the motor was 2005. Even the guarantee label was tampered. Any one can make out the motor was repaired. Replacement of the same motor was denied by me. In the month of Jun 09 upon contacted, the Lucky services has told that he is no more the authorized service center for IFB.
Is this what the SERVICE customer should expect from an International company??? My Guarantee/Warranty period will be ending on 18th of July.
DO I EXPECT ANY ACTION??? or do I take the path of consumer court. kindly suggest at the earliest as the warranty period is ending on 18 July 09.
