Dear Sir/Madam,
This is with reference to the complain numbers 0809110436 and
0809110437 at the customer care center.
Every week 20 rupees are deducted from my balance and I get a sms
saying that 20 rupees have been deducted for subscription to airtel
text based services. This has been going on for few weeks now and I
used to ignore it earlier thinking it as a system error spam. However
today I took serious notice of it and did an internet search about it
and found that this has been the case with many other people using
airtel prepaid service.
Thereafter I talked to the customer care executive and she said that
this was happening because I had activated Airtel Live from my mobile.
I even asked her the whole procedure and made it clear that I HAD
NEVER ACTIVATED AIRTEL LIVE from my mobile/sim. She assured me that it
would be deactivated from now but said she coudn't refund the amount
deducted from balance and INSISTED IT WAS MY FAULT.
I would like to bring to your attention the fact that I never
activated the service and that it was never even activated by anyone
from my sim as it is always with me. The problem is most likely on the
side of system AIRTEL. So many people having the same complain points
out to this fact. Further, the plain denial by the customer care
executive of the service not activated by me amounts to denial of any
responsibility to address customer grievance.
Therefore it is my sincere request to you to kindly deactivate all
such services, refund the money deducted from my balance and please
make sure that such things don't happen in future where in all blame
is put on the customer for no fault of his.
