Charging money for technically faulty SIM

I have got a postpaid sim from airtel and its no. is 9949053577 Some days before i saw that my sim is not working fine. After checking thoroughly i come to know that its a technical fault and i need to replace my sim. I went at airtel outlet at Paradise, Secunderabad. They issued me a new sim card and asked for 200 INR. I said its not my fault or not even my mobile is corrupted, so why they are charging money, but they said that the money will be reflected in my next bill and they denied of helping me for the same thing. I dont know what kind of service are they really providing to their customers. Well soon i will be opting a new service provider, just because of the helping services provided by the AIRTEL. :)
