I have a new Airtel post-paid mobile connection since 15 days. In the last 15 days Airtel has not been able to schedule an address verification visit and hence have disconnected my phone service while I am travelling outside my home base Bangalore.
Airtel does not have an all India toll free number that can connect me to the Bangalore help desk and I had to spend 4 hours on 25-Sep-09 from 9 am to 1pm to finally get to speak to a line manager as the Airtel 'systems' were down.
Now the line manager has asked me to send an email to [email protected] to help solve this problem.
This is the most insensitive way of dealing with customers and disconnecting outgoing facility so abruptly is the last straw. This despite the fact that I also have Airtel broadband facility at the same billing address in the same name as my mobile connection. I fail to understand why Airtel could not use the "address verification" done by the broadband team while installing the modem at my address!!!
This is by far the worst service I have received from any cellphone provider worldwide.
