I was approached by a company called Dining club which offered me a discount card and promised me a free trip among few welcome kit products. I was informed about the annual charge. I had said to the executive that I will agree only if i see the terms and conditions in writing. He promised me that he will send me the details by email within 24 hours. they wanted to confirm the details of my HDFC bank credit card they had with them. After confirmation, they said they will send me the details of the proposal and disconnected the phone.
Soon i found that, within one hour of our conversation they charged my credit card for Rs. 5499 without my authorization. I called the bank and they immediately changed my card and held the amount as disputed. But they advised me to sort the matter out with the vendor.meanwhile the dining club had sent me a welcome kit which i did not receive from the courier and returned to the dining club.
I repeatedly called the vendor and atlast i could get through some Mr. Vikrant who is just promising me that he will sort the matter out after hearining the conversation, but is not responding after that. sometimes he makes excuse that he doesnt have time, sometimes he says he is out of station and so on. im feeling helpless.
