Meru service sucks big time. Someone booked the cab over the phone on my behalf. I got off the cab and was charged Rs. 50/- extra as "convenience charge". I spoke to 5 different people in the booking team.? I fail to understand the difference between booking online/SMS and calling the call centre and the end of the day having to shell out 50 bucks extra. They advised i call the feedback team which i did. To no surprise the feedback team is perhaps on a long leave since it does not generate any revenue. Had to wait for a long time every time i was transferred or even when i called directly. Some of the amusing answers i got for being charged extra is "infrastructure, company policy blah blah". Nobody has a proper answer since everyone is aware that it is just to make obscene profits at the expense of the customers' money. Anyways a lady on the phone has promised to schedule a call back. If i don't get an satisfactory answer can someone advise on the legal options i have. Also, i get to hear that the 50 rupees that they charge the customer does not reflect in the accounts. So obviously they are cheating and making unaccounted profits.
