India Today Book Club
Non receipt of promsed free gifts

One Mr Akashdeep Saxena called on August 20, with an offer of a holiday package and 12 books on payment of some amount. Since India Today is such a known name, I paid the amount. I received a consignment containing 12 books with a flyer saying that I must log on to offer.indiatodaybookclub.com/greatoffer.htm to claim my free gift and holiday package. This was the first breach of promise.

Mr Saxena had given me a phone number claiming as his direct number which is in fact the board number. Inspite of repeated tries, one can get through only one step of the IVR and is then put on hold. This was the 2nd breach.

Now the third. After logging on I was given some number and had to print out to forms which then I was to post by normal post to Premier Sales Promotions Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. This I did in September wand since then there is no revert from India Today.

India Today has now taken to deception of unwary people and strict action should be taken.

My brother also had accepted the same offer, only he sent the letters to Bangalore by courier and the letters have been returned saying "Shifted".
