I was using Airtel landline no. 4347549 (NOIDA). Since I was shifting my residence to Indrapuram, I requested Airtel to shift my phone. It was informed that it was not possible to give the same number. Therefore I requested this number to be disconnected and I have taken new connection at Indirapuram phone nos. 4564754 & 4564755. The request for disconnection was made on Jan 17. In Feb a representative from Airtel came to my office and collected the payment and confirmed that the phone is closed and thereis nothing outstanding. Later on I have recieved atleast 100 phones from Airtel asking me for balance payment and everytime I informed them that they should confirm disconnection of this phone. I dont think there is a problem in the system of communication in Airtel and it leads to continous botheration to the consumer.
Will anybody in Airtel take a remedial acction.
