Taking a look at a promotional offer
of booking Air Deccan Tickets at 499/- (Plus Taxes), if booked using
the SBI Card, I called up the Air Deccan Customer Care as I was in
need of a couple of Tickets from Calcutta to Mumbai for my dad's
travel. I called on 6th, and asked for the details. I was told that
the same has to be booked 15 days in advance, hence I sought the
tickets for 23rd Jan. I was asked only the first 6 digits of the
card no., the holder's name as in the card, and was told that I will
be called back. The same day evening someone called back from the
customer care, and took the entire details of the sector, passengers
and the Card (Card No., holder's name, CVV No., Expiry Date). I asked
if he is booking the tickets, and then when can I get the ticket
(softcopy on mail). I was specifically told that I will be called back
for further confirmation once the availability can be confirmed and
then the tickets will be booked and subsequently it will be sent on my
mail ID. However, after waiting for a week, I did not recieve any
intimation from Air Deccan whatsoever. I called them back and
submitted my query (giving my name, card no., sector and date of
journey from the no. 9833176688/ 022 66144533) asking if my tickets
have been booked. But I was again assured that someone will call back,
take my final confirmation and then book the tickets. I was asked to
wait. When finally I didnt get any call back on further wait, I booked
tickets in other Airline for 21st. Today, I recieved an intimation
from air deccan through SMS that my flight for 23rd is delayed. I was
furious and called back their helpline no. and have submitted my
complaint, that I was told tickets will be booked post my
confirmation, and that I was not intimated about this booking
whatsoever. I was told that Ms. Haripriya would be looking into this
matter after checking the recordings I will be intimated.
I had been waiting for a
revert. Someone had called me earlier from Air Deccan, and said that
the tickets are being cancelled and entire money is being refunded. I
was confirmed the same has been done. But, when I enquired from SBI
Cards, I have found that they have rcvd no such intimation!!
This is pathetic...
