I spent more that Rs. 60, 000/- last year on purchases from India Book Club Telesales as a sequel to participating in their sweepstakes. I have bitter experience with them on many scores, of which two specific items stand out for non-excecution of order paid for by credit card, nor refunded the amount.
Given below are those two items:
1. Order for Kelvin Kleen watch Swatch Blue watch for Rs. 6950 paid vide my credit card on 18th November (3.30PM)
ID : 110047283. Till date I have not received these items, on which I had made a complaint through telephone. I requested refund of the amount paid, which they agreed, but no repayment was made till this day.
2. H1517 Holiday Stay Vouchers worth Rs.5943 paid via my credit card (Booking ID 440008927 dt 23/9/09), but was told that I better take it my wifes name & hence taken on her name Renu Saini with membership Number: ITBC09118243. My wife received a cover & she was supposed to send a form filled to some Bangalore Address, which was duly filled & send to the Bangalore Address. No reply has come from them as yet. Am I to believe that ITBC at a sophisticated conn job.
I have lost count of the number of free gifts promised but not executed.
I request them to refund the amount interest at the earliest.
