Hi all,

This was an Email sent by me to their Customer Service Department and they have never responded to this. Please read through and don't trust their Telecallers. I am still awaiting my Order ID 440023170 (Philips Home Theatre).

I receieved a call from one of your Telesales Executive Mr. Alok on February 12 on my Mobile No. 9908922336 and he offered me a Philips 26" LCD TV for Rs.7498/- (inclusive of Taxes and Delivery charges). Initially i was reluctant to purchase as i refused to believe the Offer, however when i was enquiring details about the LCD TV and the Offer he transferred my Call to the Floor Supervisor Ms. Preeti who repeatedly assured me that India Today Book Club is offering this 26" LCD TV exclusively for esteemed members. The Call was transferred back to Mr. Alok, when i believed and agreed to purchase the LCD TV. Since i was enquiring about the specifications, my call was transferred to the Technical Department and the Call was taken by Mr. Sameer and he assured me again that it is a 26" LCD TV.

Mr. Sameer and Ms. Preeti had mentioned the Model No. PET 717. However, when i checked the Models online, i could only see a Philips Portable DVD Player and when i mentioned this to Mr. Sameer in his followup call, he mentioned confidently that this Model has been modified and we would be able to see this Model PET 717 with 26" LCD Specifications online from February 18 and as a promotional offer for members India Today Book Club is offering it at Rs.7498/-. I believed this and also purchased a Philips Home Theatre along with 26" LCD TV.

I made Credit Card Payments for Rs.7498/- for Order ID 440023165 and Rs.7598/- for Order ID 440023170. Please note that they also refused to give me the Order ID after the Payment was through and they mentioned that my Order ID and the Product specifications for Philips 26 Inches LCD TV and the Philips Home Theatre System would be sent by an Auto generated Email within 5 Minutes after i booked the Order. Initially, Mr. Alok & Mr. Sameer had promised me that the Order ID would be given to me once i finish the Credit Card Transaction and after the Transaction, they said that i would receive it in an Email. I could get my Order IDs only after calling up your Helpline No.

I received a Philips Portable DVD Player along with a Free Reebok Watch instead of Philips 26" LCD TV through Courier and would like to return the Consignment. Please note that i have not received the Philips Home Theatre till date. I would also like to return the Home Theatre (If i receive a Home Theatre) even though it was promised to me because of the "Unethical Sales Practice". I would like to inform you, that i am from International Service Industry and i have been Involved in Sales and Service for the past 10.5 Years. I have always taken strict action on my Employees when i encounter such Unethical Practices.

I called your Helpline No. today and one Mr. Neeraj Kashyap had suggested me to return the Products and send an Email to this Group address for prompt action. Please note that i would be sending these to your Address mentioned below as suggested by Mr. Neeraj Kashyap.

I would like to request you to kindly revert the Money paid by me to the Credit Card Account at the earliest along with the Courier Charges borne by me to return this Philips Portable DVD Player and the Philips Home Theatre (If i receive it).

I have got high regards for your group and appreciate your efforts and would expect your goodself to kindly look into this "Greviance" and take appropriate measures to avoid such cases in future.
