I had ordered (Order No. MITBC-WEB-22457177) for Swatch watch for myself. The amount (Rs. 1548) was taken in advance on 29th June and delivery time was 4 - 6 weeks. After few weeks when I called for checking status of the order I was informed that the same will be delivered within the time frame. In first week of September when my husband called (@ 40502424) for checking the status of the same, he was informed that the since the watch was not in stock and we have initiated a refund request (No. RE09001345). On giving his consent he was told that the refund will be credited in the Credit Card account within the next 10 days. After fifteen days when he inquired again he was told due to some technical problem there is a delay it will happen in 10 days (maximum). Then he called up thrice in Oct, but same reply - 10 to 15 days (max.). In November 1st week one Saurabh Awasthi committed that the same will be done by 14.11. but it did not happen. He then spoke to one Mr. Justin Fernandes who said that the tracking system is under maintenance and committed that the same will be done by 26.11. it did not happen. On 29th Nov., my husband was told that by 03.12.2009 the credit will be done. During all these calls, he was assured that an URGENT request has been sent to the Accounts Deptt. for refund. Today (09.12.2009) when he called up for the status of the issue, first he was told by a customer care person that it will take 15 days, but when he requested for transferring the line to Justin Fernandes he was made to speak to one Azim Khanwho said that there was some technical problem and the credit will happen by Saturday (12.12.2009).
Another time, I had ordered a dinner set and the delivery time was 4 weeks. It took 3 emails & 5 phone calls to get the order in 7 weeks.
