Delay in refund on return of defective supply

I had purchased a Black Berry mobile phone worth Rs 6498 by ICICI Bank credit card in the month of March vide order no 1003455151. The set turned out to be defective and I returned it to them in the month of May. then after a lot of follow up they informed me that the money has been returned to my credit card account vide Transaction id - 10339954531, Refund Date - 17 - 06 - 2011. But on contacting the bank I was told that there is no transaction as mentioned by the service provider. I again contacted them (India Today bagittoday). This time they have completely washed their hands from it saying now I need to contact the bank.

I am enclosing below the last email of theirs:

Dear Mr. Das,

This is with reference to your email.

We sincerely apologies for the inconvenience caused to you.

We would like to inform you that as per our record, your refund of Rs. 6498 has already been processed and credited into your account, please find below the refund details:-

* Refund Date-17th June

* Transaction id - 10339954531

* Refund Amount-Rs.6498

We request you to kindly get in touch with your bank/ credit card provider and confirm the receipt of the refund amount to us.
