My membership ID with India Today Book Club is ITBC 09107863. The company is involved in selling products through telesales. I placed an order for Samsung Omnia Pro phone and portable DVD player on 18/02 worth total amount of Rs 21496/- through telesales, Name of sales executive is Mr Ankush Garg, Phone received from the No: 011-203310700, Along with this combo offer there were gift items also ie. Reebok track suit worth Rs 3999/- and surat diamond gift woucher worth Rs 5000/- for each product. Before placing the final order, dispatch address was checked by him and it was told that this address is in serviceable location. However I have not received any of the products till date. On calling their helpline I was told by customer care executive initially for one month that products are in dispatch mode and it will be delivered to your address within week days. This answer was repeated for almost 2 months. On 8th April customer care executive refuse to dispatch of product due to non serviceable location. On the same day I request to cancel the order the post the complaint for refund. During that time I was told that within 7 days you will get the refund reference no after approval. And within 21 working days after getting refund reference no, refund will be given to you by cheque. Continuous follow up done for getting refund reference no with ITBC customer care. (Phone NO 011-40502424). On 4th May’2010 I was told by customer care executive that refund request is not available and request is required to made by mail mentioning the booking Id to [email protected] and [email protected]. A mail was sent to above mentioned mail Ids with all details and requesting the cancellation of order and placing the request for refund. On talking to ITBC customer care on 12th May’2010 regarding the status of mail, I was told that refund reference no will be generated within 48hrs and it will be intimated to you. I wait for the same but I have not received any response from ITCB. Again talking to customer care on 15th May’ I was told that request is in approval status and after approval refund reference will be generated. On the 17th May’ I have been told to wait for 28 working days to get refund, day by day some reasons are generating by ITBC customer care, but I am not getting any positive response.
